Lost all bookmarks after syncing devices
Last week in response to a prompt I created a new Firefox account and agreed to sync all of my devices. One of those processes resulted in my losing all bookmarks from my Firefox browser on my laptop.
When I follow the "Restoring from Backups" steps here (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/restore-bookmarks-from-backup-or-move-them), under "Restore," only two dates appear -- both from after the date of syncing. So even if Firefox automatically backed up my bookmarks prior to the sync, I can't seem to access them.
Is there any way to find and restore my lost bookmarks?

Hi Stymied47,
See if you have an older profile available. Type about:profiles in the address bar and press enter.
If you have an older profile, open the Root Directory folder. Your bookmark backups are stored there in the bookmarkbackups folder.

It worked -- thanks so much! The "about:profiles" tip was what I needed.
Hi Stymied47,
Great!
I'm glad I could help.
Enjoy!
Lost all bookmarks, saved passwords, etc. after reinstalling FF even though FF said I wouldn't lose a thing. Went through this all to make sure I could make FF my default browser in Win 10. Any ideas on how I can find and restore all this data?
Did you open about:profiles as advised as the "solution" in this support thread?
