I downloaded and installed Firefox and set it as my default browser on my Android device. It shows that Firefox is my default browser. However when I click on the icon it goes to Google play store and not to a Firefox homepage that would show a search bar. It appears that my searches are still through Google. How do I resolve this?

Hi

Just to clarify, when you select the Firefox for Android icon on the Android homescreen, it takes to the Google Play Store?

Do you have the normal Firefox for Android address bar at the top of the screen?
