I downloaded the latest Beta version of Thunderbird the day it was released. I have used Thunderbird as my preferred mail client for two years and have updated it twice with no issues. This latest version does not recognize my existing profile and will not import my contacts, archives or passwords. I have been able to get it to send and receive on my primary e-mail account, but how can I get my old files back?

Visit Help > Troubleshooting > about:profiles

From there you should be able to point back to your original profile and restart Thunderbird
