Since I downloaded the last Firefox update, I no longer have pdf files. Instead I have HTML links that open a tab in my Firefox browser when I try to read a document. This happens with both new documents that I download, and ones previously downloaded. Is there a way I can return to the previous method of having the pdf file rather than an HTML link?

Thanks.

As the first step, could you change your default program for PDFs in your Windows settings to a more appropriate program, such as Acrobat Reader?

As noted in Microsoft's help article, you might need to use the "Choose default apps by file type" option:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/change-default-programs-in-windows-10-e5d82cad-17d1-c53b-3505-f10a32e1894d

Does that help with this issue?
