Copy and pasting articles and images

more options

I am no longer able to copy and paste an article in its original format. I no longer can copy and paste any image, including copying and pasting screenshots, without them going into attachments. I know this is not a google issue because my wife uses chrome-which I do not like-and I can copy and paste articles and images accurately on chrome. I do not wish to use chrome, or upgrade to windows 11. I have tried refreshing firefox, uninstalling and re-installing to default settings, and nothing works to restore this ability to me in firefox.

Could you describe where you are pasting? Is this on your email website, when composing a new message? Could you mention which one (for example, Outlook, Gmail, etc.).

Does basic formatting transfer or does it appear to just be capturing the plain text when you paste?

I am pasting from websites to my gmail email. It appears as if only text is copied . I could copy and paste normally as late as yesterday, and it still does it on the chrome browser, but not theedge that came witht the computer. The computer is only one year old.
