I have four Gmail accounts and three are working on TB on my Windows 10 desktop. On the fourth account (genealogyjoe@gmail.com), when I try to download messages from Gmail I get an error box that says "Authentication failure while connecting to imap.google.com". Meanwhile I am able to access the account using either Firefox or the Gmail app on the same desktop or on my Android phone.

Using the help pages I have:

  • set login authentication to Oauth
  • verified that javascript is enabled
  • verified that there is an Oauth token for the account and it is dated 6/14/2023, about the time that i first noticed the problem
  • removed imap and smtp logins for the account
  • restarted TB

But the problem continues.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion. I have not been able to find that setting. Can you point me to it?
