Changing primary email account without sending to current primary email?

My primary email account is my companies email. I no longer work at that company and do not have access to that email account.

When I attempt to change email to my personal, which is listed in the account, it requires that I enter a verification code that is sent to the current primary email.

Is there a work around for this, or should I delete the entire account and start again?

Not going to happen without access the Primary email changing the email login will not work. Your going to have to delete but that also require Primary email verification to do so. All you can do is make new account and don't use work email for login and use free online email provider for that instead.
