The search engine changes by itself (ebay, bing, amazon, duck...), each time I have to go to "settings" to reset Google. Thank you for help

Can you explain a bit more about what happens when it changes? When exactly does it change, is it on restart or are you doing something within Firefox?

Note that if you use the separate search bar on the toolbar and use ctrl-up/down whilst in that toolbar, then it does change the default engine.
