My wife has both work & personal accounts on Thunderbird. She is experiencing sending mail in her work account. The personal account is fine. She get an error message mf-204. (authenticated connections only. please check that you email address is correct in account settings) None of her settings have changed, but it suddenly won't allow outgoing mail. Any suggestions on how to correct this?? Can I set up a new account and just transfer all of the old folders into it?

Many email providers periodically tighten their security requirements. Unfortunately, they rarely tell users, as I see similar questions here regularly. Without seeing her settings, my guess is that the SMTP settings are not authenticated. Please click to account settings on her PC and scroll down left side to 'Outgoing servers (SMTP) and do a screenprint of the complete settings. thank you.
