Looking for a bookmark editor that has a search and replace function. Or, is it possible to export bookmarks to a text file to edit, then import text file back to Firefox?

Thanks

Hi David, you could look for an add-on which can edit bookmarks. I haven't done the search, so I don't know whether any exist.

You can export bookmarks to the classic HTML format, edit that file, and then import back to Firefox. However, importing is additive, so you need to manually dispose of the original set of bookmarks first. It's a good idea to make a backup in case you need to roll back.

Thanks for your response.

So far, a suitable bookmark editor seems illusive. There may be an add-on that'll work, but descriptions I've read haven't referenced search & replace functionally. Word will open my bookmark file, perform search and replace, but wants to save changes as .docx file. I know Firefox won't import that, at least not my version. If nothing else, I can toss the dice and try a few of the most popular add-ons. Any other ideas?
