I don't have Firefox for Desktop. I only use android. You can choose "desktop" in the settings.

The answer above is stating the exact answer I gave about pinning bookmarks to the home page. Otherwise you can see if any of the open source APIs have "speed dial" or if you are a developer or know one, have someone write the program for a browser with that. I have not checked but if you look in the extensions, you may be able to find one. You can also use chrome extensions if you go on Chrome and click see desktop. Then add them through the Chrome store or the Mozilla Extensions page. Other than that, that would be something to request instead of asking support. That would be on GitHub or contacting Mozilla directly.
