Why is "recently bookmarked" in the menu? I have my bookmarks in folders if I need them and don't need that cluttering my screen. Like who doesn't just leave the tab open if they're going use the page soon enough "Recently bookmarked" is needed?

Hi, there are two similarly named lists, so let me mention both:

Main Menu > Bookmarks

Recent bookmarks is a list of recently added bookmarks in reverse chronological order. Perhaps you will never need this because you are more organized than the average user. But here are some things it might be useful for:

(1) You added a site recently, but you can't remember the title or URL so you can't search for it

(2) You added a site recently, but you can't remember what folder you put it in

(3) You added a site to a new folder, but you can't remember the name or location of the folder

Right-click any bookmark under "Recent bookmarks" and choose Show in Folder to open the Bookmarks Sidebar to that folder.

Bookmarks Menu on the optional Menu Bar

Firefox used to include a Recently Bookmarked "smart folder" that queried for your most recently added bookmarks. Maybe you have one left over from years ago? You can delete it, since it is part of bookmark data and not part of the menu structure itself.
