I need my cursor to automatically appear in the Search Bar of the page I have set as my home page. Is there a way to change a setting to do this?

I am using a web based service in which people scan a barcode into a search bar and then press search on the touchscreen. After the first person has finished and printed the appropriate labels from the program. The cursor does not return to the Search bar making the barcode scanner inoperable as there is nowhere for the data to be written. Do you have a solution?

A good place to ask questions and advice about web development is at the MozillaZine Web Development/Standards Evangelism forum. The helpers at that forum are more knowledgeable about web development issues. You need to register at the MozillaZine forum site in order to post at that forum.
