How do I change the number of default Google search results from 10 to 100?
What file or registry setting do I edit in order to change the number of default Google search results from 10 to 100 when using the search bar?

You can set the Google preferences on the Google Search settings page (link at the top right). Number of Results: Google's default (10 results) provides the fastest results.
Such settings are stored in a cookie on your computer that you need to allow: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Exceptions" or Tools > Page Info > Permissions.
- Make sure that you do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
I clear cookies regularly, is that the only way to do it?
There's a "non cookie" way of doing it with Opera.
Anyone?
You can add num=100 to the search command: You can use a keyword search (e.g. g) with this location: http://www.google.com/search?num=100&q=%s
