I want to block certain sites and videos but everytime Firefox updates the add ons become obselete and have to be updated to block sites and videos.

I am not here everyday so when I miss the updates, access to blocked sites and videos is activated again.

Depending on your OS, in Firefox, go to Options->Advanced->Updates tab and set accordingly.

And look at this KB article, for more info. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Options+window+-+Advanced+panel#Update_tab
