I have no idea what the deal is, but today I started to get gray backgrounds on all links on a page. I didn't change anything.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

You can also try "Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults" on the Safe mode start window.

Thank you! I didn't even know you could go into safe mode :-D I reset the defaults and that did the trick.
