want to move bookmarks from hard drive (dead desktop) to new computeer
My old desktop recently died and rather than getting it fixed we purchased a new computer. I am removing the hard drive from the old computer and installing it in the expansion bay of the new computer. How can I get the bookmarks from the old drive onto the new computer? Can I just run Firefox from the old drive? I'm noobish with this kind of stuff. 8)
Also the older computer was running XP svc pack 3 and the new computer has Windows 7... If this matters.

Hmmmm. Thanks for the link but that didn't help. I need to be able to find the places file without booting up firefox.... I recently installed the old hard drive into the new computer and am now stuck- if i try to run firefox from the old drive it treats it as a first run on the new computer (makes sense) and when I try to find the places file it only finds the one that is created by the first run.... Not my old one.
Sorry about that, it looks like that article has been edited since I last read it - someone removed the information about manually locating the Profile folder.

ugh. I tried to find the profile and it only searches on my C drive..... The drive with the old info is my 'F' is there any way I can do the %APPDATA% search on the F drive instead of the C drive? When I search on the c drive it gives me the newest profile (created this afternoon) and not the original.
UPDATE!
Nevermind I found it and moved it... I just had to get creative with the hidden folders.... Thanks for all your help! 8)
