I installed Minefield to take a glimpse at it and after uninstalling I was offered to remove my personal data and I mistakenly clicked yes. Now I have all my bookmarks lost. What am I supposed to do? No backups in the Profile folder. Thanks for helping!

I installed Minefield to try and make WebGL work but when I uninstalled it I mistakenly clicked yes when I was asked whether I want to remove personal data. Now I lost all my bookmarks. No backup in the profile folder . Anyone knows a solution?

That option permanently deletes all of your profile data, unless you make your own backups it is unlikely you will be able to recover the user data.

You can try a file recovery utility such as the free Recuva - http://www.piriform.com/recuva

With that see if you can recover a file with the name in the format bookmarks-yyyy-mm-dd.json, if you can recover one of those files you can try to restore your bookmarks as shown here - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Backing+up+and+restoring+bookmarks

Thank you TonyE for replying. That's the way I tried, unfortunately with no luck. Either Recuva nor PC Inspector File Recovery managed to recover the file in the form that Firefox could accept. Next time I should be more careful I presume. Thanks anyways!
