When I go to download the latest Firefox, the website says that it is already installed; yet when I attempt to go onto a secure financial website, it will not allow me as it states that my browser is not current.

Looks like it could actually be a problem with the financial website doing some bad browser sniffing and only looking for older version of Firefox like 3.6.* and has not updated it even though 4.0 was released on March 22.

The useragent you posted with is correct for the current Firefox 4.0.1 release.

Have you contacted this financial website?

I tried contacting the company but got no response. But from what you're saying, it does sound like their issue. I'll have to follow up with them.

Wow, thanks!
