Firefox 5 will not open links to .pdf files [e.g.: http://www.discovermoab.com/pdf/movie.pdf], but Internet Explorer will. Why?

Often, links to .pdf files on websites won't open in Firefox 5, whereas Internet Explorer will open them. Why won't Firefox open them?

The PDF file at http://www.discovermoab.com/pdf/movie.pdf opens fine for me in Firefox 5. I do not use Adobe Reader as you do, but another free product, Foxit Reader.

Not related to your question, but....

You need to update some plug-ins:

Do you use the PDF Download extension? I just tried disabling it, and a PDF file that wouldn't open in FF5 now does. Don't know if this is a permanent fix, just an observation based on one test.

I have the problem with both Foxit and Adobe Reader, and not with all PDF files. The PDF file in SafeBrowser's reply opened for me just fine, using Adobe Reader and with PDF Download enabled. Most PDF files won't open though, and I end up using IE Tab to view them.

Just a couple more points of information.
