I keep getting this message when I try to go online. I then have to use Explorer. Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.google.com.

Just yesterday I was unable to access the internet through firefox. I just get the message "Problem loading page. Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.google.com". I have tried re-downloading firefox but continue to get this message and can only go online through explorer.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
