Text and font sizes got all messed up; how can I uninstall and reinstall Firefox, unless you have another suggestion?

I tried changing the resolution to what was recommended and then also the font size, because it got too small. Now it is all messed up, with some website font sizes too small and others too big. I even restored my previous settings and restarted but to no avail. Can I uninstall and reinstall Firefox, and if so, how? If not, what else can you suggest? I tried Internet Explorer and have no such problems. I'd hate to switch to IE and lose all of my Firefox bookmarks, but if I can't fix this problem, I must do so.

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems: View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause issues like you described.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.
