Firefox crashes
I cannot open Firefox. It crashed on starting, both in regular and safe modes.
I deleted the application and reinstalled. Still happens.
It worked fine last night.
The last thing that changed within the program was the auto-update to 8.0. It hasn't worked since.

I tried that already. Didn't change anything.
did it all twice.
restarted the computer, too.
Have resorted to Safari in the mean time. But all my info is in Firefox...

Try to ensure your crash reports have been submitted (you may need to click on them with a working browser ) and find the crash IDs as explained in the above linked articles. Post the Crash ID s in your reply and hopefully someone will be able to help.
You will almost certainly be able to recover your bookmarks from firerox, but that will possibly need Firefox to be running again.
I already tried that, too. But because it never loaded there was no crash report generated. My most recent crash report was months ago, nothing from today.
If I could get Firefox up again, I could grab the tabs and bookmarks. Without it even launching, I'm sunk.

I'll go try the whole process again... maybe the third time is a charm?
all seems to work now.
many times of install, un-install, try to open the program again, reboot the computer, but it seems to be working.

Glad it is working again. Have you now backed up your bookmarks and put then somewhere safe ?
I'm having the same problem, I've gone through all the steps and it's still not working! My crash reports don't show up because it's a freezing/hanging issue that only gets reported to apple, not firefox...
