When I first turn on Firefox, I only get a blank "new tab". It does not go to the Firefox Home Page. When I click on the Home button in the top right, I get the message "The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded." How can I fix this so when I open Firefox it goes right to the Firefox Home Page (or a home page of my own choosing)??

How to set the home page has detailed instructions.

To get back to the default home page:

  1. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button (Tools menu in Windows XP) and then click Options.
  2. Select the General panel.
  3. In the Startup box, click Restore to Default.

If this isn't "sticking", you may have malware or an extension that is preventing you from making the change.
