When I download a photo, pdf, or document from the web, with Internet Explorer it opened immediately in a new tab; with firefox it is sent to a download window. I then must navigate to it, click on the download to open it - extra steps when I'm trying to get work done. In many cases my pdf's are not saved to this file as a pdf., the only work around to get the file to open is to navigate to the containing folder, and change the file extension to a pdf and then open it.

I should have specified that the pdf's are downloading as ".aspx" files
