embeded midi, FF is ignoring VLC & demanding Gecko Media Player

more options

FF is ignoring VLC & demanding Gecko Media Player be installed on pages with embedded midi.

VLC is the default player for midi, and opens when I click on a midi link; but it it's embedded, FF fails to pass the midi to VLC

I'm not sure if the VLC plugin supports Midi, because when I look at the list under about:plugins, it looks to me like it's QuickTime Plug-in 7.7.1 (npqtplugin2.dll) that is used to play midi files (on my computer, at least).

You can check your plugin settings by typing about:plugins in the address bar and press Enter. On that page, you can search for "midi" and you should then be able to see which plugin is handling it. At least on my computer, it's not VLC.
