Mac ebay login gives Page Not Responding error

Trying to login to ebay gives this error with Mac Firefox 15.0.1 OS X 10.7.4 No such problem with the Safari browser

The eBay page or feature you are attempting to access is not responding. Please try the options below:

   Try to access the feature directly from the eBay Home Page, instead of using a bookmark.
   Wait a few minutes and try to access the feature again.

If you have waited ten to fifteen minutes and you still can't access your page:

As I was posting the question above, I noticed that the forum submission system auto-detected various system details including a long list of plugins.

I went to tools>Add-ons>Plugins and updated a few and disabled most of the old and otherwise unwanted plugins. After restarting Firefox the ebay login worked fine and the browser started much quicker.

Is there a way to completely delete unwanted plugins?

I went to tools>Add-ons>Plugins and updated a few and disabled most of the old and otherwise unwanted plugins. After restarting Firefox the ebay login worked fine and the browser started much quicker.
