On startup I get FF Help. There seems to be n escape, Help tells me how to set up another site as my default screen but I cannot display a screen with either the FF button or the Tools menu. I use Win7. What's the secret?

Do you see any toolbars like the Navigation Toolbar with the Home button at the far right side?

Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F).
If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear.
You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11.

Thanks for your support but I just solved it by finding the menu holding the options and clicking 'options' and making the correct entries.
