I was downloading something this morning and could see the downloads in the download section however I was unable to stop the downloads. It there a way to stop the downloads once they have started. Also under settings I have tried to delete the download history and that does not seem to work either.

At the end of the line describing the item downloading there is an "X" symbol. Clicking that in the download window should stop the download. You can set download history not to be saved in the about:config window.

  • browser.download.manager.retention - set to 0 (zero)

FYI - this was for the mobile browser. I do not see an "X" next to anything I am downloading. After I posted this question I did figure out how to delete the history. Unfortunately it is one by one and you have to press and hold the file being downloaded then a separate box pops up and asks about deleting.

Maybe while downloading if I press and hold and ask to delete it will also stop the download.
