This problem started when I was doing a regular update of nightly, and my wifi cut out, causing the update to stop mid way. After that, when the wifi reconnected, and I opened nightly, it appeared like this: http://imgur.com/qYshI2l

I can still click the address bar and any button, everything is just invisible.

FIrst thing I tried was completely uninstalling, and reinstalling, and that did not work. I tried switching to regular firefox and aurora, but both appeared the same way as nightly

You might already have tried this, but if not, could you try a new Firefox profile?

It will have your system-installed plugins (e.g., Flash), but no themes, extensions, or other customizations. It also should have completely fresh settings databases and a fresh cache folder.

Exit Firefox and start up in the Profile Manager using Start > search box (or Run):

firefox.exe -P

Any time you want to switch profiles, exit Firefox and return to this dialog.

When creating a new profile, I recommend using the default location suggested, and to avoid data loss, not re-using any existing folder. Before deleting unneeded profiles, I suggest making a backup first in case something were to go wrong.

Do pages display in the new profile? If so, to import bookmarks and other settings into the new profile, see this article: Recovering important data from an old profile.
