when receiving emails - either hotmail or gmail - when I right click and select save as... on the picture attachment (say 1.5Mb) then save to desktop, the resultant file size of the saved picture is around 9.3Kb. It has been suggested that the browser may be saving as a thumbnail rather than the full sized picture jpeg.

Hi Becky123 , Thank you very much for you question. After you right click and save as the attachment, when you open the file in a previewing software, does the image have the same size as the listed dimensions?

Two more questions: are you using the save button with the arrow next to it to download the attachment? This should give the full download.
