How many complaints must I encourage before you restore the status bar?
I just need the number. I began my campaign moments ago, and I'm looking for a target number. I feel exactly as the poster with the "colorful" language. I just think I'll get an answer faster with honey instead of vinegar. Again, just the number of complaints it takes to get the Status Bar feature returned. (NOT AN ADD-ON)

Hi,
The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.
If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. (You'll need to be on the latest version of Firefox to submit feedback). Your feedback gets collected at http://input.mozilla.org/, where a team of people read it and gather data about the most common issues.

Thank you for the information. I don't wish to leave input, I'm asking for the number of complaints it's going to take to get the old status bar back without using an Add-on. I have no experience putting together a campaign of this magnitude and I'm seeking estimates. I appreciate you took time to offer these options, but I want to deal with people, not robots gathering data.
hello, this forum is meant for technical troubleshooting and not for general discussions - please refer to our Mozilla Support rules and guidelines. thank you for your understanding!
Are you aware that the "statusbar" has been gone since Firefox 4, which was release on March 22, 2011, when it was replaced by the Add-on Bar. The Add-on Bar was removed in Firefox 29.
Complaints here aren't going to change that, especially when there are multiple add-ons available to restore that feature.
Please see the Rules & Guidelines, because you're close to the "edge" with that last snide comment .
Mozilla is a small not-for-profit organization with a big mission to promote openness on the web. With its limited resources, it isn't always possible for Mozilla to keep backwards compatibility on all features without diverting developers from other tasks.
Here, the add-on community had filled the gap months before Firefox 29 was released. Yes, that is an extra step, but there has always been a kind of symbiosis between the core product and add-ons that has allowed Mozilla to work with a small team.
If you believe that Mozilla should divert resources from other programs to restore the Add-on bar, you can make your case. I do not think, though, that it is a question of numbers of petitioners.
And maybe that energy would be better spent in other ways, such as helping other users adapt to the new Firefox, or helping recruit more volunteer programmers to build these features into the product itself.
Complaints do nothing. If you to get it back, file a bug and see what the developers have to say. We can NOT do anything else here. We provide support and that's all we do. Really.
I just updated to FF version 29.0.1, and I am totally confused as to WHY you would go to outside sources to make your browser complete, when it was an almost perfect browser before? You have changed the default font size to so small us old folks can't even see the letters any more, you have removed the statusbar (add-on bar) and who knows what else you have done. I just had to download an outside program to correct what you have removed.
SHAME ON YOU MOZILLA!
