Firefox 29 printes blank web pages...or...prints web pages in reduced size: does not fit to paper size.

more options

I am currently using Firefox 29.

I try to print a web page, e.g., a crossword puzzle from a newspaper (link is below).

The puzzle appears full-screen, but when I try to print it, I get a blank printout: nothing is printed

In Firefox 27, the printout would reduced in size, even if the print parameter "Fit to page" was selected.

I do not have this problem when using Internet Explorer.

Chosen solution

There is a bug in the PDF Viewer in Firefox 29. There should be an update in the near future to fix it. For now, the best workaround is to use a plugin instead of the built-in viewer. Since you have the Adobe Acrobat plugin, that is a logical choice for you. This article describes how to make the switch: View PDF files using Firefox’s built-in viewer.
