mailboxes and address book missing from restored program files

I re-installed TB 3.1.20, after having to re-install Windows Vista, with all other software and data. I then restored my TB files from a NTI Backup NOW file (when I back up files I include the program files for TB so I don't lose mailboxes and the address book). However when opening TB neither my mailboxes or address book are there. This system has worked in the past, so I trusted it would this time as well.

Any idea how to find and restore them?

Your mail and address book is stored in your Thunderbird profile. The profile is separate from the Thunderbird program installation. Check this article to locate your profile folder. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Thunderbird If you do have a backup of your profile folder follow these instructions to restore it. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Moving_your_profile_folder_-_Thunderbird#Create_a_new_profile_and_copy_the_old_one_over_it
