We can't help you without more details like:

1 What version of Android e.g. Gingerbread 2.3, Jellybean 4.1?

2. What exact model of Samsung phone, tablet or other Android device are you using. e.g. Samsung S5, Samsung S4,

3. Does this happen when you add new sites to your Home Screen with Firefox Menu->Page->Add to Home Screen or is just old sites on your Home Screen when you upgraded from FF31 to FF32?

For what it's worth (probably not much :-) other than another data point) I don't have these issues on Firefox for 32, Samsung S5 and Android 4.4.

Please provide the details if you can so we can help you further!

I was able to reproduce this problem as you described in your private message (sorry i don't do support via private message because i want others to benefit if they have the same problem) on my galaxy tab s

however there is a workaround that worked for me: restart the phone or tablets and the icons come back as your original icons (NOT firefox)

have you tried restarting the phone ortable?

in the meantime, i think this is a known bug (my apologies that it hasn't been fixed!) and i will see if i can dig up a link to the bug for you

Roland I apolgize for making email private - I am new to this forum and did not realize there was a reply box. I appreciate your reply, However - restarting tablet DOE NOT work for me. I am attaching ( if i can figure out how ) my specs of my tablet (sw, version, etc etc ) it says Android 4.2.2. originally before this message, I reloaded EVERY one of the shortcuts and saved them again, and deleted the "firefox" described icons. I check to be sure NO auto updates are allowed "Application Firefox check box being blank" . Version at that time was Firefox 32.0

This worked fine until last night ( Sept 10 2014).  Low and behold overnight as unit was charging Firefox and Instagram Updated themselves .  Firefox verson is now  32.0.1 and ALL THE Shortcut ICONS NOW SAY "FIREFOX"  again.  I uninstalled the updates, restarted the tablet, (off then on ) with no good results -  everything still shows firefox icons on shortcuts on version 32.0       This needs to be fixed - I am positive I am not the only person with this problem,  there are thousands of Samsung tablets out there and firefox is probably the chosen browser of choice.  Also can someone please tell me why Auto Update occurs when I choose not to do that via unchecked box in Application "Firefox" on the tablet . ???  All replies appreciated.

Yes this happens to me as well, I had a update on the browser yesterday and blew away all my shorcuts and replaced them with the Firefox icon, why has this not been fixed?

I have a Samsung 10.1 tablet running the latest Jellybean, everything is up to date.
