Prior to the last update of Firefox, holding the CTRL key while left clicking a link would open the link's page in a new tab. That no longer works, it just opens a new, blank tab page. I have to right click and select "open link in a new tab" to open a link in a new tab. I cannot find a setting to turn the CTRL click function back on, and the options seem to be limited compared to what used to be available for browsing and tab controls.

hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

Some web pages may intercept the Ctrl key and may prevent this way to open a link from working.

Do you have a mouse with a clickable scroll wheel and you can press instead?

Note that your System Details List shows multiple Flash plugins.

  1. Shockwave Flash 16.0 r0
  2. Shockwave Flash 19.0 r0

You can find the installation path of all plugins on the about:plugins page.

You can check the Flash player installation folder for multiple Flash player plugins and remove older version(s) of the plugin (NPSWF32) and possibly (re)install the latest Flash player.
