If you do use Sync and opt to use the bookmark syncing I personally would still ensure I had manual backups of bookmarks because Sync occasionally messes up bookmarks. Both methods have their uses. If you have new computer with only a handful of new bookmarks, and an old computer with lots of bookmarks, maybe in folders and with tags.
