Why must I allow FireFox to make changes to my computer before it will log me on? If I don't agree to let it, it won't log me on.
Hi,
Every time I want to log onto FireFox, my security program asks if I will allow FireFox to make changes to my computer. If I click
"yes", I'm logged onto FireFox. If I click "no", I won't be logged on. I'd also like to know what changes is FireFox making?

A possible cause of this message is that Firefox is set to run as Administrator.
Check that Firefox isn't set to run as Administrator.
You can open the Properties of the Firefox desktop shortcut via the right-click context menu and check the "Compatibility" tab.
Make sure all items are deselected in the "Compatibility" tab of the Properties window.
- Privilege Level: "Run this program as Administrator" should not be selected
- "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" should not be selected
Also check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program folder.

I've always thought that the question is from Windows and not Firefox or a security program. I've never had the slightest problem to answering "Yes" to a wide range of software. Your System details show that you have nine versions of Shockwave Flash - surely a new record. I suggest you delete them all and start again.
Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.
Flash: Grab the uninstaller from here:

Then reinstall the latest version.
Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).
Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.
