Cant seem to get auto reload working

more options

Hi. Installed auto reload into the latest FFox, but it doesn't seem to work.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/auto-reload/

Is there anything I need to do to set it up and get it working?

Auto Reload 1.22 by Yurii Zolot'ko

Reload page automatically when selected local files are changed.

You should contact support for this add-on.

When I look at the screenshots on the Add-ons site for that extension, it looks like you need to create rules for the site(s) you want the extension to refresh.

Is that what you had in mind? Maybe there's a simpler extension for your needs.

Yes, you do need to create rules, and I guess here is where I have a problem. When I load the box that is in those shots, it does not allow me to add a URL, which is what I expect.

Furthermore, it says:

"Reload page automatically when selected local files are changed"

I have absolutely NO IDEA what that's supposed to mean, and I cant find any documentation on that. What does it mean "local files"? Files on my HDD? What does that have to do with auto reloading a webpage?

Is it really so, that there is no simple, easy way to do this?

Thanks.

The extension is meant for people who are editing HTML files on their hard drive and want to preview the latest version automatically when the files are updated. Maybe it could be useful to you or maybe not, but I have no personal experience with it.
