How to open Seperate Profiles at the Same Time?

I would like at least consider switching away from Google Chrome but one of the features missing is a session manager.

In Chrome, I have one window open with my personal accounts logged in and another window in a separate profile (no conflicting cookies, etc.) with my work accounts. I'm not about to start making special shortcuts to send arguments when opening FireFox to force the browser to open with a certain profile. Is there any progress down the pipeline to add this feature with some sort of GUI manager? (It seems like this would have done the trick, but it's incompatible and Experimental https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/profileswitcher/ with the latest update).

I'm glad you guys made an update where the browser is faster on many websites but missing features like this won't bring back people like me to your browser yet. I would like to consider switching, but I'm still surprised this has not been added.

선택된 해결법

about:profiles, create new profile, launch profile in new window. Done. This'll open up the new profile you just created in a new window of the current Firefox instance running.

Thank you for your response. I created a new profile and then clicked Launch profile, however, the new window was the same profile as before as seen here,

I closed and reopened Firefox and tried again (didn't work). I then deleted the Mozilla folder from AppData and tried the above steps again with no luck.

Sorry, forgot to mention you need to add the command line argument`-no-remote` in your Firefox executable to launch different profiles in the same Firefox instance. (Ex.target path: D:\Program Files\Nightly\firefox.exe" -no-remote)

I'm not about to start making special shortcuts to send arguments when opening FireFox to force the browser to open with a certain profile.

No need, the `-no-remote` argument is all that is needed to do what you need.

Thank you, that worked.

Just wondering, if everything is in place to do this, to me at least, it seems very easy to add a dropdown menu like,

Any reason why this hasn't been added?

No clue why. I'm sure there is a bug buried in Bugzilla somewhere about this. For now, it seems about:profiles is Firefox's version of profile control so there is no need to add a drop down box if functionality exists.

This does not work. Only opens the same profile in a new window.

-no-remote does not work for me

Ok -no-remote does work but in a strange way:

Sometimes opens the profile manager, sometimes the chosen profile, and sometimes the same profile.
