need to allow redirect
Dear Firefox and Google;
Your browsers have what is for me a major issue. You will no doubt say this issue is a feature for my own protection, but it is a major pain for me. I have dialysis at a major clinic I access the internet through while I am there. This clinic has a HARD firewall I have access through. This firewall has an access page I have to log in through. Your browsers NEED to let the firewall redirect me to the login page; but both your browsers detect the redirect and register this as a redirect. It is, but it NEEDS to be allowed, but neither browser will allow me to override them and access the login page(at least Microsoft edge allows me to access the page, provided I confirm it at the beginning of the session; if I miss it then I have to restart). This may be for my 'security', but it is an annoyance and you need to be told, as it is seriously frustrating for otherwise good products.( the articles your site references do not help with this version)

How about posting the actual screenshot of the message and what site is saying that?

To turn redirects on or off is now done on the 'about:config' page :
Type in the address bar about:config (press Enter) (promise to be careful, if asked)
Type in the searchbar and look for the preference :
accessibility.blockautorefresh
and set its value to false to turn it OFF
or set its value to true to turn it ON
Then close and restart Firefox.
I hope this does what you were looking for .....
If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block (wanted) content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block (wanted) content.
- make sure your extensions and filters are updated to the latest version
There is Tracking Protection that can block (wanted) content.
- check the location/address bar for special icons.

If you have problems getting to the authentication page on a public wi-fi hotspot, that could be because you are trying to load a page with an HTTPS address. When the wi-fi hotspot interjects its page into that connection, most browsers will raise an error.
To work around that, try accessing a non-secure page, such as
http://example.com/
(you can type example.com in the address bar and press Enter to load it)
Firefox should calmly follow the redirect from the non-secure page address to the firewall's sign-in page.
After you authenticate on HTTP, then you can use HTTPS pages normally.
