Takes about 5 times longer to open than it used to before recent update, knows the home page Google but won't open it on boot up until I press home button. Once booted and a few sites have been opened speed goes back to normal including home page opening.

Randomly has the error Mozilla Not Responding on open tabs and when opening new ones.

Tried MS Edge, that opens almost instantly compared to Firefox. FF is my default browser.

I use Trend Micro Maximum Security which has been installed for years and was operating when FF was working properly with no changes that I have made.

Thanks.

What homepage are you setting? And how are you timing the access time? There alot of factors that can slow a Browser opening from aggressive A/V scanning to much or system resources are tack doing too much or not enough RAM or slow hardware.

Hi West End thanks for the reply

Plenty of RAM 16GB - A/V same settings no changes, Google home page.

I have just gone through all my FF settings and adjusted them to my preferences after doing a reset and when I opened FF to reply to you I noticed it was back to where it was and Google opened as well?

Maybe the update that installed yesterday changed all my settings might just monitor it for a while and see if the Mozilla Firefox (Not Responding) error has gone also.

Just need to update post, problems seem to have gone since I reset everything. Have given FF a good test with no issues now.
