I use Thunderbird version 60.7.2 32bit on both machines with POP3 mailboxes.

Hello sfhowes and thanks for your support. GDATA's AV was the Problem. The certificates had to be supplemented. Now everything works fine.

Does the W10 computer have a security/AV program scanning SSL (secure) connections?
