I cannot forward images or attach images or put images inline when sending messages. I can receive images, no problem. When I try to send messages with images, I get a "Loading Images..." message in the lower left screen. It says loading images, but it never finishes and the message cannot be sent.

Thank you in advance.

OK, after looking around myself, I found that "Auto resize" was the culprit.

So your issue was an add-on. So not a Thunderbird issue.

Looking at the web page for the addon I note it does not work with the current version. (68) https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-GB/thunderbird/addon/auto-resize-image/

I dunno how to set it up, I guess, but please let everyone know that that el-crappo feature can cause HUGE problems. It's waaaaaay to overly complicated, as are most things in Thunderbird.

It is an addon, one that is no longer supported. So really, if there is an issue, it is how did it come to be still working at all. It should have been disabled on update.

I've had this problem for quite a while, with nobody trying to help from this support site. Yeah, I know it's volunteers, just wish we had a more useful way to get support, rather than the hit or miss, complete ignore, too busy, overworked volunteers.

So while we might be over worked, making a support request is usually the first point in seeking a solution after you read some of the articles suggested by your carefully crafted question. Based on the subject, I doubt the search system offered a single useful thing.
