Installing on d: drive
I am moving Thunderbird from my old Windows 7 computer to a new Windows 10 computer. The new computer has a small c: drive and a large d: drive. I want to install Thunderbird on the d: drive. I downloaded Thunderbird and was able to install the app on the d: drive, but the profile is on the c: drive. I can't find a way to specify that it be installed on the d: drive also. I have 2 users on the computer, and presumably can manually create a users/username/appdata/roaming/Thunderbird/profiles directly structure for each user. Thanks.

Close Thunderbird create a folder to hold profiles on the D: drive. copy the profiles folder appdata/roaming/thunderbird\profiles into it.
In thunderbird use the instructions here https://thunderbirdtweaks.blogspot.com/2019/09/i-lost-my-profilemail-on-update-to.html
To access the create profile button and activate the profile manager. create the new profile using the location you just created and copied the stuff from th C: drive to.
That should do it.
If you think you got it wrong, opening the troubleshooting information on the help menu and clicking the show button beside the profile entry will confirm/show where you current profile is.
