So on Win 7 you can put into your search kind:=picture and it will show you every image file on your PC from png to bmp to jpg to gif.

Can I do the same thing in the firefox history search and find all image types in one go?

Is there someway I can type in a keyword in the history search like kind:=picture and just get ever image type?

If you haven't changed the install location of Firefox cache, then you'll be able to find all the present Firefox browser cache files by following the below paths:

For Windows 10/8: C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\{profile folder}\cache2 For Windows 7: C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\{profile folder}\Cache\ For Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\{user}\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\{profile folder}\Cache\ If you want to find browser history, downloads, and cookies, you may follow the below path to find them:

C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\{profile folder}\

There you can filter for the images, and get it all in a go.

Hi MellyWelly, that's a cool idea. Unfortunately, the search box is pretty basic and doesn't allow "or" searches, so you would need to separately try .png then .jpg then .gif and so forth.

There are some "better history" add-ons that offer additional features, so you could take a look at those if you need this often. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/

Please note that history doesn't list embedded images, but it would list the ones you opened "stand alone" in their own tab.
