I found a rather specific & fatal issue which causes Firefox to stop responding completely & needs to force quit.

If I copy any normal text content from a LibreOffice document & attempt to paste it into FF URL bar as a search term, the moment I select paste FF will stop responding & no text is pasted.

I have tried pasting text from other sources such as Gedit or an email, but that is fine. It is specifically text copied from LibreOffice (writer, v7.2)

I am using FF 91 on Gnu/Linux Manjaro 21.1

To replicate: Open LibreOffice Writer, new doc. Type "hello world" & select the text. Right-click 'copy' Go to FF & Click on URL bar. Right-Click 'paste' <FREEZE>

I cannot replicate the issue in distro version of Firefox, Nightly, nor a separate copy of 92.0. see screenshot Have you tried those steps in Safe Mode? Try another linux account and see if you have the same issue.

Try downloading a separate copy of Firefox and run it from the folder(do not sign into you Firefox account) to see what happens.

Are you copying plain text to a normal text area like on this forum or HTML formatted text to a rich text editor area ?

Into the browser URL bar. Not a search box or text entry box on a web page ,but the URL bar on the browser.

Oddly, I cannot replicate it now either, although I did spend about 20 mins before posting & it was consistently a problem, even after restarting both apps multiple times & with new documents. So perhaps its one of those magically disappearing problems, like toothache when you get to the dentist.
