Thunderbird email scrolling too fast
I am using Thunderbird 91.6.1 (32-bit) on a Windows 10 home (build 19043.1526) on a Lenovo 200RCTO1WW laptop. In the last few months the scroll from the trackpad is WAY too fast - it scrolls dozens (sometimes hundreds) of emails on a single touch. It's become so impossible to do anything but cursor down through emails. I've tried to research multiple solutions to no avail. The trackpad device driver is updated. I'm at a lost. All other software (other than Microsoft Excel) works fine with the trackpad.

Ok, a bit of googling later, I still have no answer, but at the level we are talking about. Thunderbird shares a code base with Firefox. So Firefox solutions should work with Thunderbird. The difference is Firefox uses about:config as a url to access hidden preferences and Thunderbird uses the config editor
This might help https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/8ir5kk/how_to_change_scroll_speed_in_firefox_600/
But I would suggest comparing the settings they mention against your Firefox that is fine and your Thunderbird which is not.

I would suggest you adjust the track speed in windows. There is nothing that can be done from the Thunderbird end.
Hi Matt - I've done that. It doesn't have any effect on Thunderbird at all. All the rest of my programs function fine with the trackpad scrolling, just not Thunderbird (or Excel). This problem is new in the last couple months. Scrolling in Firefox is totally fine. Thunderbird is a disaster.

YES! Matt! You're my hero! That did it. 1000 was what Firefox was set to and it works wonderfully in Thunderbird. Thank you!
