Light/Dark mode issue persists
I've been having issues with the themes on the Firefox Browser. Almost all themes forces dark-mode on the browser. Since update 100 it no longer effects websites, but it still affects the browser (menues etc) despite me having the settings locked on light-mode.

Try downloading Firefox from Mozilla, run it from the folder and see if you have the same issue. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release
You are not the only user to have such an issue. You could try changing themes. Cross fingers, I haven't had the problem. Do you use a dark theme on your system? That may be the source of the problem.
Yeah, I was having dark issue with Nightly and had to change the theme.

I use a light-theme on my desktop. Changing firefox-themes tecnically does "Fix" the problem, if I use a theme that only has black coloured fonts. The moment the font is white (or light x-colour) it reverts black to dark-mode.
I have made my own third-party theme that (to the best of my ability) works around the issue. Notice how my Notice how my Selected Tab has a dark font, my not-selected tab on the other hand has a white font. As long as the selected tab is dark/black the browser wont revert to dark-mode.
How ever locking me out from using Most third-party themes for Firefox is not a reliable fix in my opinion, I would love to keep using all the amazing third-party themes that are still avalible for the browser and that (besides for this specific issue) works great!

I gave it a try and I still have the same issue :(
You also mentioned I could try to change my theme and I have made my own third-party theme that (to the best of my ability) works around the issue. I do find it to be a major bummer thou that I can't use most of the great third-party themes still avalible for Firefox and that until (I think) version 96 worked perfectly fine but since then force dark mode.

@Mumrik, you may be able to fix your issue with a preference in about:config. The subject was reviewed comprehensively in the answer linked below.
