Setting exceptions for websites not to have their cookies deleted
Periodically I would like to clear cookies, except some. Tripcheck.com saves one's custom camera itineraries in cookies. I would like to avoid deleting them when I clear cookies or when Firefox is closed. Similarly, there are some other websites for which I would like to preserve cookies for.
How can I do that? Does listing them as "allowed" accomplish that? Thanks.

If you clear cookies manually in the Cookie Manager, then all selected cookies will be removed regardless of a possible allow exception. If you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" to clear the cookies, then you keep cookies with an allow exception assuming that you keep the "Site settings".
- using "Clear history when Firefox closes" in Firefox 102+ honors exceptions and keeps cookies with an allow exception, previous versions removed all cookies
- clearing "Site settings" clears exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and software installation and exceptions for passwords and other website specific data
Note that in MacOS 10.15 and newer, you can install the current release (123.0.1) in case in the past you did use a no longer supported OS X 10.12/10.13/10.14 version and updated to a MacOS 10.15 version.
Mac OS users on OS X 10.12/10.13/10.14 have been moved to the 115 ESR update channel since your macOS X 10.14 platform no longer is supported, current releases require macOS 10.15 as a minimum.
Thanks, Cor-el. I am on Mac OS 14.3.1 and using Firefox 115.8.0 ESR.
Given the above, which exact settings should I use to accomplish what I want: selectively saving cookies for certain websites while deleting the rest that I do not care for. I am sorry, I could not follow your instructions in practical terms.
